The rockmover wrasse Novaculichthys taeniourus uses coral fragments for mound construction. The wrasse heaps between 4 and 71 pieces of coral fragments on each sand mound, and dives into the mound just before sunset. Coral fragments may facilitate the retention of sleeping sites over other sand-diving wrasses.
