The butterfly, Indian Fritillary (Argyreus hyperbius) is said to have a southern origin; however, recently it is frequently seen around Tokyo. In the video, a larva of this butterfly is eating leaves of violets in my garden. A couple of years ago, three larvae of this butterfly ate up leaves of my violets. They metamorphosed to pupae, emerged as butterflies, and flew away. (translated by Asoh)
