A male three-spined stickleback with nuptial coloration is courting a female by zigzag dancing (i.e., shaking the body from left to right while swimming). You can recognize the zigzag dance several times in the video. The courtship, however, was not successful. (By Osamu Ishida, Fukui City Museum of Natural History)
