Predation by the brown lemur on the nestling of the Madagascar paradise flycatcher was recorded during the video observation of the flycatcher¡Çs nest. Two predation events are shown in the video image. In both events, the brown lemur stretched out the arm for the nesting tree from the neighboring tree, drew the nest close to its mouth, and fed on the nestling directly. The lemur did not use its fingers to pick up the nestling. The nest was broken after the predation in the first event, but not in the second event. The nest predation frequently occurs in this area; around 70-80 % of the flycatcher¡Çs nest was depredated. Many nests were found broken like the first event in the video image. The brown lemur has been regarded as herbivore. However, the brown lemur seems to depredate the flycatcher¡Çs nest frequently in this area.
