Adult female Crested Honey Buzzard in Taiwan with a nestling.
The bird called when Taiwanese Macaques (Macaca cyclopis)
approached the nest. Taken from a YouTube video
"Oriental Honey Buzzard Nest Cam (7/7 Macaques invasion again)"
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eYxly7VRXs) and uploaded
by permission of Raptor Research Group of Taiwan (RRGTaiwan).

The reaction and voice of the female were similar to
the event on 1 July (momo211211pp01b).
The initial rattling call started at 05:01 of this video
(local time T=08:18:50) and were intermittently given for
nearly 40 minutes. During this sequence of vocalizations,
a rattling call with multiple discrete frequency components
(1.6, 2.1 and 2.9 kHz) was recorded at 12:46 and 20:30
of this video. At 32:11 of this video (T=08:46:00) the nestling
started giving begging call. Even after this, the female
gave rattling call. At 39:04 of this video
(T=08:52:53), a rattling call was recorded.
It was not apparent from the video whether the female or
the nestling gave this voice.
