A pair of the goby Lubricogobius exiguus spawns inside a nest (an empty bottle). A yellow egg clutch is attached to the upper inner wall of the nest. The female (on the right), which has well-developed ovaries in the abdomen, is spawning (at 15 s). The male then moves forward from the back of the nest, following the female (at 33 s). At this time, the male rubs his genital papilla against the egg clutch, which is presumed to be related to sperm release or fertilization. Subsequently, the male uses his mouth to adjust and attach the eggs on the inner wall of the nest (at 35 s).
