Larvae of the cycad blue butterfly, Chilades pandava, and ants collected from cycad (Cycas revoluta) leaves were photographed in a Petri dish. The larvae possessed two types of organs: a liquid-secreting organ and tentacle-like organs. The ants were observed licking the secreted liquid and showing charging behavior toward the tentacles.
