All individuals of the nudibranch Melibe pilosa that I found at the beach next to Misaki Park were half-transparent. This individual looks similar to the bleached green algae on the lower screen. This nudibranch may look like a jellyfish. With a closer look, however, you can see its horn-shaped mouth moving over the surface of the green algae. It has a pair of tentacles behind the mouth region. The back of this nudibranch lies on the upper screen, and you can see a large projection. The nudebracnch generally hides itself underside of boulders; this individual, however, was seen out in the open during spring low tide. (translated by Asoh)
