Echinochasmus sp. is a digenean parasite. Its cercariae form a rosette whem they are shed by the first-intermediate host (freshwater snail, Semisulcospira libertina). The second-intermediate hosts (fish) mistake the cercariae for food, and are parasitized by them through predation.
