A couple of Rufous Turtle Doves made their nest in a tree nearby my house. The first cut was shot on 26th August, 2005, and I had been aware of them several days before. The first chick emerged on 10th Sep, and the second one did on the next day. Parents were observed to take turns to care their brood, and to provide crop milk, which is protein and fat-rich secretion from crop sac of both sex.

Unfortunately, in the afternoon,17th Sep, chicks disappeared, probably due to predation. Possible predator, crow, was observed to be around the abondoned nest on several days after. While the last cut of the movie shows a parent looking for chicks on the 18th Sep, I observed another parent also searched them in the late afternoon, 17th Sep (not filmed).
