New Zealand Mudsnails are speading in the broad areas of Japan recently. This species looks like a yound individual of the indigenous snail Semisulcospira, but crawls faster as shown in the movie. Such behavioral differences are sometimes helpful to distindguish introduced species from indigenous ones.
