Allagelena opulenta (Araneae, Agelenidae) constructs sheet-like web without gumfoot on the plant and hides inside a tunnel built in back of the sheet to ambush insect prey dropping into the sheet.
Brachzapus nikkoensis (Ichneumonidae, polysphincta group) flies herself into the sheet to entice the spider away from the tunnel. She attacks the spider pouncing upon her or approaching her, and gets the spider down by sting causing spider's paralysis. Thereafter, she lays an egg on the spider's cephalothorax and flies away. The spider resumes usual life being parasitized.
