This video shows the second of three observations of a focal female big- eyed green pit viper (Trimeresurus (Cryptelytrops) macrops), TRMA271 (middle- right side of screen), interacting with a conspecific (likely another big- eyed viper) in forested habitat in northeast Thailand. The focal viper does not appear to respond and we classified this interaction as "indirect" (more than half a viper body length away), and "distracting" (viper aware/acknowledges conspecific, but no active response afterwards) in outcome. See Barnes et al. (2020) for more details.
