Second calendar-year female Crested Honey Buzzard in Morioka Zoological Park ZOOMO.
Response to playback of rattling call of the European Honey Buzzard at nest.
Movie (cropped) obtained from inside of the cage.

In response to a rattling call of an adult male European Honey Buzzard,
the bird changed the direction of the body, moved on the perch
restlessly, and defecated. The bird then shook the entire body,
which behavior is referred to as "rousing" in falconry.
A Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae) in the zoo
then called in reaction to this playback.
The Morioka bird then became calmer just as in experiment in momo211209pp03b.

See momo211209pp01b for information of this individual.
