All named organisms on the earth are classified hierarchically, such as kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, and genus (from higher to lower level). In hierarchical search, you will select the level of hierarchy, then you can see all data of species belonging to selected level. When you click hierarchical search in menu listed below, you will see the word 'Animalia' in right column. Click this, and you will see names of several phylum, such as Arthropoda or Cordata. You can go up and down in hierarchy by clicking each item. When you reach the level that you want to see, click the Show button.
In these search methods, thumbnails and titles of movies are displayed as results. Click of each item brings you to the pages with detailed data, but appearance will differ slightly. Movies are embedded in the page, if you click thumbnails. When you only want to see attached text data other than movie, you should click titles.
Full-text search targets any words in explanationary text by namazu. Please see here for detail of namazu. Results will show the links to each data.
You can use movies freely for education or scientific research, but copyrights of all movies are kept by author(s). Please indicate the name of author, Data No, and that movies come from 'Movie Archives of Animal Behavior'. Don't use them for commercial purpose without permission.
